Welcome To Krav Maga Yashir
Welcome to Krav Maga Yashir! We teach authentic, and up to date Krav Maga, that comes from Israel. Krav Maga is the fighting system developed and used by the IDF
(Israeli Defense Force), to teach hand-to-hand combat to its armed forces. Its goal is to get the novice recruit combat ready in the shortest possible time. To
this end it relies upon natural, instinctive movements and innovative training methods. Our school and Krav Maga syllabus is run by 5th Degree Black Belt,
Gershon Ben Keren, who was trained, and received his teaching certifications in Israel. You can read more about him, and his credentials by

Our training center is just south of Lawrence, and is located conveniently off of I-93 (there is a large free on-site parking lot, that offers virtually

Books On Krav Maga
Krav Maga Yashir, Head Instructor, Gershon Ben Keren, has written three Amazon best-selling books on Krav Maga, each book has a focus on different types of violence. The first looks at violent offenses committed by predatory individuals who engage in premeditated, planned and orchestrated acts, while the second looks at social violence, committed by people who have become spontaneously aggressive due to injustices and/or threats that they believe have been committed against them. The third book looks at extreme forms of violence such as active shooter incidents, car-jackings and home invasions. As well as containing full color demonstrations of physical techniques and solutions, all three books look at the self-protection aspects of dealing with violence. Krav Maga Google Author Talks
Gershon Ben Keren, is one of only a handful of authors who have done more than one Google Author Talk. In these two presentations, based of his first two books (“Krav Maga – Real World Solutions To Real World Violence” and “Krav Maga – Tactical Survival”, both published by Tuttle Press), Gershon describes the processes that predatory individuals who target strangers in public places, use to gain access to them, as well as how to de-escalate situations that arise from social conflicts. Both of these talks draw from both his academic knowledge and his real world experiences working in the security industry.
